Health Promotion
We are actively engaged in health education and disease prevention and are always happy to discuss this with you.
In particular we can arrange:
- Primary prevention, e.g. advice on smoking, diet, exercise and immunisations
- Screening, e.g. blood pressure checks, cholesterol estimations, cervical smears, etc.
Maternity Care
Maternity care and post-natal checks are provided at the Surgery by the GP and Community Midwife by appointment.
Baby Clinic
Baby vaccinations are carried out at our weekly Baby Clinic run by Dr Haigney, our Health Visitor - Florence Corrigan and our Practice Nurse - Catherine Bell - an appointment is necessary. We are unable to see sick babies at this clinic.

Diabetic Clinic
Our weekly Diabetic Clinic is run by Dr Brennan, Dr Devine and our Nurse Practitioner Caroline Palmer.

Contraception
We are able to advise and provide full contraceptive care. Please make an appointment with a GP.
Child Health Surveillance
Child Health Surveillance services are provided at the surgery.

Minor Surgery
Dr Haigney runs the Minor Surgery clinic. He carries out joint injections, toenail removal etc by appointment only.

Counselling
Mr Hugh McCorry is a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) who runs a weekly counselling clinic. Referral is by the GP.

Dietician, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist
Advice and treatment with a dietician, physiotherapist or occupational therapist can be arranged in the Community following referral by the GP.
