Welcome to Mount Oriel Medical Practice

If you are suffering from a new cough, fever or any other coronavirus related symptoms please do not come to the surgery – stay at home.

Carers - if you are eligible for a carer's allowance or you are the sole or primary carer of an elderly or disabled person - you may be eligible for the Covid-19 vaccine.  Please email the Practice on explaining how you meet the criteria and we will get back to you.

In order to manage the coronavirus pandemic and protect both staff and patients we no longer have pre-booked appointments  for GPs. If you need to speak to a GP, please telephone the surgery between 8.30am and 10.30am to request a call back. At times of high demand these slots may fill before 10.30am, if you call is of a routine nature you may be asked to call back the next working day, if you call is urgent please stay on the line.  You will be asked by our receptionists for some information regarding your presenting problem to help the doctors prioritise their calls.   A doctor will ring you back asap and if appropriate give you an appointment to attend the surgery. Please do not attend the surgery unless you have a pre-arranged appointment or are collecting a letter. Everyone must wear a face mask or face covering when entering the building.

Repeat prescriptions take 48 working hours to process, please do not phone to see if your prescription is ready. All prescriptions are now to be collected at your nominated pharmacy, please do not call at the surgery.
